Welcome to the Question/Answer Tool
This tool is designed as a "back channel" for use in conferences, lectures, large classes, or any situation where you want to give expanded options to students for their participation.
- You can set up as many base participation pages as you wish.
- Each page can contain as many questions as your students/participants with to ask.
- Questions can be anonymous, or the asker can give their name and/or email address.
- Every question is a "mini" discussion board, so participants can respond directly to each other, or you can designate a GSI or other "official" responder.
- Participants can also "vote" on questions to indicate that, although they have nothing to add at this time, they would also like to see it addressed.
- NOTE: There is no security on these pages, anyone who can access this web site (pretty much everyone) will be able to view the questions and answers created by your participants. Do not use this tool for confidential discussions!
- You can (and should) establish a password that will let you (and no one else) delete a page.
This tool is not officialy supported, but a mailing list is maintanined for announcements of service interruptions or other changes to the availability of the Question/Answer tool. If you would like to be added to this mailing list, please send an email to Barry Fishman. You may also contact Barry Fishman with any questions about the tool.
